From 5th to 7th April in Burgas, Bulgaria was held the Second Transnational Meeting of the partners in the European project ‘Digital Tools for Inclusion of Refugees, Asylum Seekers and Migrants’ as scheduled in the timetable.

The meeting was opened with the welcome speech of Ms. Ruska Boyadzieva, Deputy Mayor of Burgas in charge of European Policies and Environment and Secretary of the hosting organization. The Municipalities of Burgas and Stara Zagora were presented, focusing on their development and latest achievements. The situation with recognized asylum seekers registered in Stara Zagora was discussed as well as some of the problems identified by the officers at the local Directorate of the Employment Agency regarding integration of the refugees in the local labour market.

USERLA presented its experience with project implemented during the last years targeting the integration of highly qualified immigrants from third countries living in the region. 

During the meeting the progress of the project was presented: the visibility and communication tools and materials, as the project flyer, website, Facebook page. The forthcoming activities related to preparation of the e-learning modules were discussed. The participants were given opportunity to visit the city of Burgas and the picturesque city of Nessebar, which forms part of the World heritage listed by UNESCO.

The next transnational project meeting was scheduled for November 2017 in Italy.
