From 7th to 9th November in Rovigo, Italy was held the Third Transnational Meeting of the partners in the European project ‘Digital Tools for Inclusion of Refugees, Asylum Seekers and Migrants’ as scheduled in the timetable. Eight partners from 6 European countries are developing the action which started in 2016 and will finish in 2018. Host partner of this meeting was the Association Sant’Andrea Apostolo della Carita.

The meeting was opened by the President of the Association Don Piero Mandruzzato, who is also Director of Caritas di Adria-Rovigo. The host organization with its activities was presented to the participants and the latest projects with refugees and asylum seekers which gave an idea how the local citizens have contributed for the integration of the newcomers in their city. A study regarding the refugees in Italia was presented and some summarizing data regarding the situation with refugees flows to the largest European countries.

The e-learning course modules were presented and discussed by the participants. The test and validation of the modules, their translation into the languages of the partner countries and dissemination activities were also part of the discussion. During the meeting the interim evaluation report of the project was presented, and the next tasks scheduled.

A concept for creation of a network for cross-border cooperation was presented for future joint initiatives of the project partners and other interested organisations.

The final transnational project meeting which will be celebrated together with an international multiplier event was scheduled for the end of May 2018 in Madrid.

The next day the participants met some of the immigrants from the Women language school of Association Sant’Andrea. The participants also experienced a city tour guided by the immigrants who have demonstrated their language skills and knowledge about the history of the region.
